Fair trade shops and markets (August 15th 2009)

Amazingly the Fair Trade Market is this Saturday 15th August at the Friends Meeting House, Ship Street, Brighton from 11 am - 4 pm. We have men's and women's shirts from Nepal and India, beautiful new cushion covers and bags from Bolivia, nighties from India and a whole host more besides.

Voices in Exile will be serving international food in the cafe and there will be local cheese, bread, cakes and chutney, and Japanese sweets. So, hope to see you then.

At Brighton Marina, Unit 9 Waterfront, we now have the most gorgeous handmade Moroccan rugs, handpainted thangka paintings by Tibetan monks to raise money for the Tibetan Children's Village, new Balinese summer dresses, Indian handcrocheted lace tablecloths and cushion covers, and a whole lot more. Open from Thursday to Sunday 11 am - 5 pm.

FAIR, 21 Queen's Road has a great range of jewellery, African skirts and dresses, and lovely new bamboo kaftans - the best new eco fabric.
