Bananas

Bananas are the biggest-selling fruit in the UK, and the most valuable grocery product for supermarkets. Fairtrade bananas are available in Co-op, Sainsbury's and Waitrose stores, most branches of Safeway, Asda, Somerfield, Tesco and Budgens, and organic food stores.

Apples

Fairtrade apples and oranges from South Africa went on sale in the UK in July and September, 2003. Fairtrade apples are available in Tesco stores.

Mangoes

Mangoes are the world's most important tropical fruit by volume. However, the UK market is 'underdeveloped', because shoppers aren't familiar with the fruit. Set the trend and buy Fairtrade mangoes in Co-op, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Tesco stores, when they're in season.
